The Clos Fantine in the Faugères appellation, these are very healthy grapes which, thanks to meticulous monitoring during fermentation, will give greedy and explosive juices with aromas of sunshine and garrigue, frank in their tasting, free, lively and moving. Natural! Although not certified, this family Winery is more than "organic"! Situated in the Haut Languedoc, in Cabrerolles near the vineyards of the famous Didier Barral, the Winery of Clos Fantine today covers almost 24 hectares. A Winery created in his lifetime by the father. His work was already "organic" before its time.
The 3 children, Carole, Corine and Olivier have continued their exemplary work in this natural approach. For several decades now, no fertilizer has been added to the soil and no phytosanitary treatments have been applied to the vines. Thus the vines, which are old, have acquired natural resistance and offer each year a yield of about 25 hl/ha.
