Notes from the Importer: Jean-Yves Devevey is not your typical Burgundian grower. Since 1992, he has been patiently building its 7.6 hectares domaine in what he calls “l'entre côte", between the Côte de Beaune and the Côte Chalonnaise, with vineyards in Hautes Côtes, Rully, Beaune and Volnay. As a farmer and winemaker, Jean-Yves has a very sensible and sensitive approach. His farming is certified organic but he also experiments biodynamics without dogma. Always keen to explore, he has recently grafted Savagnin and Marechal Foch grapes. In the cellar, he is challenging its non interventionist approach (indigenous yeast, low to no SO2) every vintage so that the wine expresses its place and vintage in the most sincere way.
