Notes from the Importer: As little intervention as possible is the mantra of Glòria Garriga & Oriol Illa, winemakers at Els Jelipins. They live and work as close to nature with their daughter sharing with the world, through this wine, their beliefs in minimalist winemaking. They work exclusively with the Sumol variety. There's not a lot of this wine and there probably never will be. Glòria Garriga and daughter Berta started making wine out of the family barn in 2003, and while demand for their wines has gone wild in recent years (and they've been able to upgrade those facilities), they are unwilling to compromise on meticulous, natural production or bring on additional workers.
