Notes from the Importer: Originally from Burgundy, Jean-Phillipe Padié headed south to study agronomy in Montpellier. After stints working for Mas Amiel and Gerard Gauby he didn’t stray far and established his own winery in Calce in 2003. Since then he has expanded his holdings to 18 ha spread out over 30 micro-plots that he works with a team of two others. Carignan, Grenache in all three colors, Syrah, Mourvedre, and Macabeu are farmed using agrobiology and biodynamic practices.
