Notes from the Importer: Domaine des Ronces is a family estate created in 1950 by Georges Mazier on 1 hectare. At that time they only grew Chardonnay, one of the main varieties of JURA. Located south of the Jura in the Orbagna commune, the estate is in the south of the revermont. In 1986, Michel Mazier took over the estate from his father and increased their holding to 6 hectares, now adding Trousseau, Pinot Noir and Poulsard. In addition to adding reds, Michel also planted Savagnin at the same time. In 2010, Domaine des Ronces began farming organic and biodynamically and became certified in 2013 for organic and 2014 for Biodynamics. In 2016 the estate became demeter certified and the new generaton took over, Kevin Mazier.
