Notes from the Importer: A cortado is a beverage consisting of espresso mixed with a roughly equal amount of warm milk to reduce the acidity. Yes, the wine is named after this drink. It's a 50/50 blend of the rosé and the red.
Back in the early 1990s Alain and Agnès Carrère founded the Domaine Majas that today consists of 30 hectares. A decade later and with a lot of frustration with converntional farming they met a young man named Tom Lubbe who would later support them to change their approach in farming and winemaking. Today the Domaine is proud to be working organically with the intention to bottle true representations of the Côtes Catalanes with minimal intervention.
