Based in the Les Riceys appellation of southern Champagne, Elise Dechannes has had a career change and moved from the finance sector to that of a thoughtful and dedicated vigneron having taken over the family vineyard in 2006.
Working her 5 ha alone with organic and biodynamic principals Elise crafts fantastic wines from the local clone of Pinot Noir that is a little different from most others in France.
With zero dosage and 3 years in clay these are expressive wines full of personality. Golden yellow to the eye and subtle white stone fruits and flowers on the nose. Bursting with citrus this is full of tension and finesse that runs out extremely long on the finish. Singular of grape and approach, these wines of Elise' are a rare example of passion and precision that thankfully got their opportunity to be.
