Notes from the Importer: This wine project, which started as an experiment in 2019, has since generated a lot of attention and admiration. The wine was created by experimenting with grapes from the same field, called “Le Bruyant,” located in the northern part of the Vallée de l'Ource. The field is known for its mix of soil types, including Kimmeridgian and Portlandian limestone, which help create a unique terroir for the grapes.
“Le Bruyant Calme et Tranquille” represents a wonderful fusion of the art and craft of wine together with the expression of the natural terroir. It is a “Coteaux Champenois” wine, which means it is a stylish and aromatic wine from the Champagne region. Etienne Sandrin has managed to capture the essence of the terroir in this bottle and create a wine that is authentic and expressive.
