Notes from the Importer:
Domaine Les Aricoques is establishing itself as a name to watch in the Savoie. In just their first vintage, they are producing wines that are delightfully fresh and charismatic, while gracefully representing the region's unique terroir.
The estate was started by two High School friends, Guillaume Bellona and Romain Dupont. The two have traveled around the world researching and enjoying other cultures' gastronomy then making their way back to France working harvests with Stephane Ogier and Domaine Giachino! After friendly pressure from their friends Francois & Justine Petit-Boxler, Adrien Dhondt, and Guillaume Selosse, the two started Domaine Les Aricoques in 2021.
They settled on a vineyard in Frangy. In the vineyards, they are using native grape varieties, like Altesse and striving to let the vines show what they can do with this terroir. Working with biodynamic and phytotherapy practices they believe they will fully capture Frangy’s freshness and give us the same feeling of intrigue it did to them when they discovered it.
