Notes from the Winemaker: Lutetien is represented by a deposit of clacerous sand, rich is shell fossils, which bear witness to a tropical sea. 45 million year ago, this sea from the Parisian basin extended as far as Champagne. This 50/50 blend of Chardonnay and Pinot has both power and precision with a talcum texture reminiscent of the finest calcerous terroirs.
The NV (2020) Brut Nature Lutetien is a blend of equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from vines in Vandières. Rich and effusive in the glass, the Lutetien is just fabulous. Lemon confit, white flowers, mint and chalk all build into the huge, palate-staining finish. Brut nature. Disgorged: February 2025; multiple disgorgements throughout the year.
