Notes from the Importer: Alanna Lagamba is a winemaker originally from Toronto, Canada, who began her wine journey while working in Berlin, where she met German winemaker Martin Wörner of Marto Wines in the Rheinhessen region. In 2019, she made her first wine, Frauen Power, a sparkling red blend inspired by Lambrusco, using Dornfelder grapes from a plot of Martin's. She works under the label Vin de Lagamba, based in Flonheim in Rheinhessen.
Her winemaking philosophy emphasizes minimal intervention, organic farming, and using no added sulfites. The couple farms vineyards in the rolling hills of Rheinhessen.
