Notes from the Importer: Angura is a small organic winery founded by Giorgi Chichinadze in Asureti, Lower Kartli. The winery began in 2019, when Giorgi restored an abandoned one-hectare vineyard planted with Goruli Mtsvane, Chinuri, Rkatsiteli, Tavkveri, Asuretuli Shavi and Saperavi. In 2020, additional Goruli Mtsvane vines were planted, which are used solely for his direct pressed cuvee of this varietal. Wines are fermented and aged in stainless steel, with no sulfites added, using only his estate-grown grapes.
