Grapes: Grolleau

Region: Loire, France

Vintage: 2022

Viticulture: Organic

Soils: Schist

Vinification:  After a manual harvest, the grapes undergo carbonic maceration for 7 days. Alcoholic fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts, and malolactic fermentation happens at the same time. Quick, efficient fermentation means the resulting wine is dry but retains its fruity notes. The wine is then aged 6mo in fiberglass tank.

Aging:  The wine is racked after fermentation, then once in January and once in February. Bottled in March 2026 with no filtration.

Fining or Filtering: none

Sulfur: 2 g/HL

Notes from the Importer: A fruity, fresh, light, and thirst-quenching red wine—perfect for casual sipping. Low in tannins for such ripeness; the carbonic maceration is expertly done. Balance, fruit, structure, and tension: everything you expect from a Loire wine!
