Notes from the Importer: Jules started out on his own in 2014, making just one cuvee called, Bijou!, a local term for wine of clarity and purity. Following in his father’s footsteps, Jules wines are just that. At just 3ha, each of his wines exhibit a transparency and depth thats sorely lacking int he region. Jules works patiently and picks late, when ripeness is at its peak, then waits for a long, carbonic fermentation to start in his lofty cellar located in Vauxrenard, high-up in the Cru of Chiroubles. Jules works a couple of parcels from his Father, as well as a plot gifted to him by Jules Chauvet. He works completely without additions in the fields and in the cellar.
