Notes from the Importer: Alexandre Wallimann is the driving force behind The Office, a micro-scale natural wine project based out of a shared cellar in Berrie in the Loire Valley of France. Before launching his own label, Wallimann spent years working alongside renowned natural winemaker François Saint-Lô, an experience that heavily shaped his outlook on the wine industry and inspired the name of his winery as a nod to his past bureaucratic work.
Operating as a micro-négociant, Wallimann sources biodynamically and organically farmed grapes from trusted growers in the surrounding Loire regions. His exceptionally limited production yields around a thousand to sixteen hundred bottles annually, with every step of the process handled completely by hand.
